(N.Z Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Jan. 22. Copper production from Broken Hill South Ltd’s Cobar mine rose further in the December half-year after an increase in the amount of crude ore treated. Cobar Mines Pty, Ltd, produced 4183 tons of copper for the period compared with 3458 tons for the previous corresponding period and 7377 tons for the full year to June last. Cobar, which is owned 76 2/3 per cent by B. H. South and 23 1/3 per cent by C.R.A., boosted South's earnings by $735,263 in 1966-67 in its second year of ore production.
