Womersley Injured
The Canterbury skier, C. P Womersley, aged 18, will not ski in the 1968 Winter Olympic Games at Chamrousse, Grenoble, next month. Womersley suffered a bad crash on the slopes while training at Haute-Nendaz, in Switzerland. Mr A Cooper (Auckland), the assistant manager of the New Zealand Olympic ski team, reported that Womersley, the national giant slalom champion, would be In hospital for about a week. He broke a back rib, tore ligaments in an arm, and was badly concussed.
