Problems On Both Sides
After discovering that he had lost his wallet containing $BOO at the Wigram motor races on Saturday, a man approached two policemen in a patrol car near the back straight. While he was telling Constables G. Webby and R. Windleborn of his loss, another man was knocking on the opposite window of the car trying to attract the constables’ attention. The second man had a problem which he, too, felt the constables should know about. He had found a wallet containing $BOO. After a little checking the constables handed the wallet to the man who had lost it. Grateful for the return of the wallet, the man gave the finder a $lO reward.
