PARTIES AT PALACE
Applications Invited New Zealand visitors to London who want to attend the Queen’s garden parties at Buckingham Palace, which are expected to be held in July, must obtain application forms from New Zealand House, London, and return them by March 29. According to the Department of External Affairs there will be a ballot because the number of applications usually far exceeds the permissible nominations. Visitors should not apply unless they are certain to be in London in July. Visitors wishing to be in the ballot for Trooping the Colour tickets, or to apply for vouchers to the Royal enclosure at Ascot, also require special forms. These must be completed and returned to New Zealand House by April 30.
New Zealanders planning to arrive in Britain after the closing dates should write immediately for application forms to New Zealand House, London. They do not have to enclose stamps or postal orders. Applicants will have to allow sufficient time for the forms to reach them by air mail before they depart from New Zealand, or alternatively to give an address en route. No application forms will be accepted after the closing dates.
