Canterbury Kiwis

The Canterbury Kiwis (under-21) cricket team, now touring Northern New South Wales, has played only one day’s cricket since arriving early this month. i The one-day , game at ■ Murwillumbah on January 10, and the two-day fixture at ! Lismore immediately after, were both washed out, as was the first day of the match at Grafton against Clarence on Sunday. This latter match thus became a one-day fixture, played on Monday, and scores were: Clarence 87 (P. D’Auvergne 5/29, C. De B. Galwey 2/17, C. W. Aldridge 2/17); Canterbury Kiwis 129 (J. F. Jackson 38, Aldridge 29, I. M. Walter 19). The team’s next match, all going well, will be a one-day game today at Barraba. A two-day match will be played on Friday and Saturday, at Narrabri. The three-day test against Northern New South Wales Colts, at Tamworth, will be played next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
