Roche, yesterday signed professional contracts with the World Championship Tennis Incorporated of America. Newcombe's guaranteed minimum of $U5135,000 is the highest sum to be paid to a tennis player turning professional. Newcombe and Roche will make their professional debuts in Sydney on January 20.
