TO MISS RACE

N.Z. Cyclist Suspended (N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. The Southland cyclist P. H. Robinson, is still unable to ride against the two-man German team at Kew Bowl this evening. An appeal committee has upheld the referee’s decision to suspend Robinson, but reduced the suspension to three days. The committee of Messrs D. Humphries, president of the Southland Cycling Centre, S. Chilton and N. Scott, imposed the suspension from January 2-4. Robinson was originally suspended for six days after an incident at Kew Bowl last Saturday. Robinson is due to ride in the test against the Germans on Saturday night, and a warm-up against them is almost essential. However, his team-mate, M. Vertongen, of Palmerston North, will be riding this evening.
