Mrs Gandhi Delayed

f.Veu? Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 27. The Indian Prime Minister, Mrs Indira Gandhi, has postponed her visit to New Zealand and Australia next month, Government sources revealed today. The sources said they had had notification from New Delhi that Mrs Gandhi’s trip had been delayed for two weeks. They did not know the reason for the postponement. The Government was awaiting an official announcement from New Delhi. Mrs Gandhi was to arrive in New Zealand on Januay 17 and return to India on January 20. Earlier she was to visit Australia.

A New Delhi message says it is believed that Mrs Gandhi felt that the time was not opportune to visit Australia, in view of the disappearance while swimming of the former Prime Minister (Mr Holt) and the preoccupation of the new Prime Minister (Mr McEwen) with the formation of a new Cabinet.
