TEDDINGTON ROBBERY
Man Charged At Invercargill (N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Dec. 22. A 27-year-old freezing worker was charged in the Invercargill Magistrate’s Court today with breaking and entering the Wheatsheaf Hotel, Teddington, on June 1 this year with intent to commit a crime therein. Richard Edwards was also charged that, in the company of persons unknown, he assaulted Francis John Kennedy with intent to rob him. Edwards was remanded to appear in the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch on December 29 by Mr B. O. Nicholson, S.M. Bail was set at $4OO with a $4OO surety. Mr J. C. Lindsay appeared for Edwards. No plea was taken.
