Driver Hurt
When a car struck a pole near the eastern end of Riccarton Road about 2.5 a.m. yesterday Brent Stechmann, aged 17, of 20 Randolph Terrace. Lyttelton, suffered head and leg injuries. He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital, where his condition was reported late last evening as quite comfortable. The car was extensively damaged.
