Last Pay To Levy Staff
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 3. Mr W. E. West secretary of the clothing manufacturing company of A Levy, Ltd, said today there had been a wrong impression of payments to dismissed staff with the sudden closure of the firm’s Hastings factory. The dismissed manager and 24 women at Hastings were being given two weeks holiday pay and four days statutory holiday pay in addition to two weeks pay in lieu of notice, he said.
