Fire raged through a section of the United States Army’s huge supply and ammunition storage dump at Long Binh late yesterday and early today, 10 miles north of Saigon. A United States spokesman said the fire was started by an explosion of unknown type and swept through 300 tons of chemicals stored in the sprawling compound, which is also headquarters for the United States Army Forces in Vietnam.
