Decision On Cup Double

AUCKLAND. Whether there will be a double on the two Auckland Cups, racing and trotting, is likely to be decided on Tuesday. The Auckland Cup, at Ellerslie, will be on Monday, January 1, and the Auckland Trotting Cup will be run on Saturday, December 30.
The secretary of the Auckland Trotting Club (Mr J. W. Fair) said yesterday his committee had agreed on running the double. It was now for the Auckland Racing Club to make their decision.
The monthly committee meeting of the Auckland Racing Club will be held on Tuesday and the cups double will be one of the items discussed.
