Outward Bound Deficit

(N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. The operating cost of New Zealand’s Outward School at Anakiwa, showed a deficit of $3OOO last year, toe chairman of the trust (Mr D. J. Ewert) reported to the trust’s annual meeting. The deficit, he said, was recompensed by donations, but these were of a non-recurring type, so that if toe operation of Outward Bound was not to be prejudiced in toe future it was essential that more support be given in toe form of membership subscriptions. Mr Ewert added that courses at Anakiwa were fully booked to August, 1968.
