MODERN TOURIST HOTEL IN MOSCOW.—Work is still being carried out on this new luxury Hotel Rossiya, near Red Square. When completed, it will have 6000 beds. Russia is making a drive for overseas tourists because it wants the foreign revenue they bring in. Hotel service is below Western standards and charges are high. Most of the rooms in this hotel have built-in baths and lavatories. The wash-basins do not have pings, so guests have to bring their own. The U.S.S.R. organisation for foreign tourists, Intourist, has services in 100 Soviet cities.
