AUCKLAND, Dec. 1,
Consolidated Plastic Industries N.Z,, Ltd, Auckland, shows slightly higher sales and profits in the six. months to September 30, compared with the -same period last year.
The economic measures introduced' by the Government earlier in the year, says Mr E. H. Nolan, the. chairman, together with devaluation have so confused trading conjjitipns' that it has become very difficult to forecast the course of trade for the Remainder of the 'year. However, the directors felt that the strong position of the company fully justified the opinion that the result for the current year would conform closely to that of last year, when the company made a 13 per cent, or $68,046, higher profit at $591,192 and paid a steady 10 per cent dividend.
