Miss Smith Has Rival
The number of current New Zealand champions and re-cord-holders taking part in the swimming carnival at the Centennial Pool tonight has been swelled to 11 by the addition of Miss B. N. Williams (Auckland), who has broken four of the five national girls’ breaststroke records since April this year. The eleventh-hour invitation to Miss Williams was made possible by an offer from an anonymous sponsor. The Auckland girl will be an excellent match for Miss L. Smith (Canterbury), who won the senior and junior national breaststroke titles last season.
