Devaluation By Macao
(N.Z P A.-Reuter—Copyright) HONG KONG, Nov. 29. The Macao Government today devalued the pataca by 5 per cent, in step with the devaluation of the Hong Kong dollar.
The pataca is now equivalent to 4.75, instead of five Portuguese escudos, and is worth fractionally less than tbe Hong Kong dollar, devalued to 14.55 to tbe pound sterling.
