TRAFFIC STUDY
Heavy Vehicles Weighed
A heavy-traffic survey undertaken by the Ministry of Works throughout New Zealand for the National Roads Board may lead to variations in the design and construction of main highways. The resident engineer of the Ministry of Works in Christchurch (Mr W. A. Scott) said yesterday that 100 vehicles had been weighed at Waipara last week and 57 at Pinehaven early this week. He said drivers had been very co-operative and a count had been taken of all vehicles besides the weighng of most.
