Canterbury Theatre Company
Sir, —It is not altogether the fault of Christchurch theatre-goers that the Canterbury Theatre Trust has played to small audiences. A very big reason is the choice of plays. Christchurch people love theatre, but why should we go to watch a morbid, sexy or disturbing play? There is more than enough of this in television, and we would welcome a change, and hoped for one.—Yours, etc, THEATRE-GOER. November 25, 1967.
