Nelson Hawke Cup Team
(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON. The sole selector, Mr R. E. Frater, has named an eleven long in experience for Nelson’s first defence of the Hawke Cup this season against Hutt Valley, at Trafalgar Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The team is: K. Baker, B. Hampton, I. Hampton (Lower Moutere), T. Beatson, L. Reade <* Moutere), G. Douglas (Richmond), C. Crothall (Stoke), G. Lowans (Loi Toi-United), I. Leggat (Athletic-Old Boys, captain), J. Sigley, R. Wilson (Wakatu). Twelfth man: G. Lane (Athletic-Old Boys).
