Feltex Exports Increase
(N.Z. ' Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. Exports by Felt and Textiles of New Zealand, Ltd, have increased by 60 per cent in the first four months of this year, after a year in which the company was responsible for 75 per cent of the country’s textile exports.
Reporting this to the annual meeting of shareholders in Wellington today, the chairman (Mr I. D. Reid) said that export expansion would offset a decline in the domestic market because of steps taken by the Government to dampen down the economy.
