Referees For Lower Grades
The high incidence of orderings-off in lower grades, particularly the under-age grades, has been recognised by the Canterbury Rugby Union. A recommendation that senior referees should be allowed to referee games down as low as under-17 was approved unanimously by the management committee last evening.
