Export To Australia
A Christchurch manufacturer of battery chargers for fork-lift trucks is exporting to Australia. Mr K. S. Stanbury, managing-director of Stanbury Electrical Engineering, Ltd, said yesterday that his automatic battery chargers were selling wholesale on the Australian market at up to $lOOO. Two firms in Australia were distributing the chargers throughout the country. Mr Stanbury said that his firm was taking business away from West Germany in Australia.
The chargers are used to recharge the giant storage batteries that power fork-lift trucks.
