Shipping Fuel Costs Rise
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright; LONDON, Nov. 28. Increases in fuel prices for shipping as a result of devaluation were announced yesterday by world oil companies, the Australian Tonnage Committee reported. The companies had planned to reduce prices before devaluation was announced, a committee spokesman said.
The increases, ranging from 15s 6d to 33s a ton, apply to virtually all world ports, since the oil prices were based on the American dqllar.
