Strike Offer Rejected
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 8 The 800 strikers at the Southdown works of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Co-operative today rejected a peace offer from the company similar to one made by the Federation of Labour in the February freezing strike. They have been on strike since last Thursday over the dismissal of a union delegate at the works. The company offered to place the man on stand-by with eight hours pay a day, and a hearing by the industry’s disputes committee.
