(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 5. The new roll-on, roll-off cargo ship Hawea berthed at Auckland today from Hong Kong where she was built for the Union Steam Ship Company, Ltd. Her master, Captain R. H. Stewart, described her as the most advanced cargo vessel on the coast. The 2300-ton ship will leave on Saturday for Lyttelton and Dunedin and, after a further call at Lyttelton on the return trip, is due back at Auckland the following Friday morning. The same run will be made weekly. In trials she has notched just under 18 knots.
