Gift To Arts Festival
To mark the opening of the Northlands Shopping Centre, which was developed by a subsidiary company, the directors of Fletcher Holdings, Ltd, have given $5OO towards next year’s Pan Pacific Arts Festival. “I am sure that this pub-lic-spirited gesture to assist a major cultural event in our community will be much appreciated by all Christchurch citizens,” said the chairman of the executive of the festival society (Mr H. G. Hay) yesterday. “It may also inspire other Christchurch companies and individuals to follow this example as we wild need all the financial backing we can secure,” he said. So far 27 firms have become full sponsors by giving $5OO.
