BRIDGE PA HALL FIRE
(N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS, Nov. 5. A group of seasonal-crop workers lost all their possessions when fire destroyed a hall they were living in at Bridge Pa, four miles from Hastings this morning. The hall was seen blazing fiercely shortly after the group of 16 from Murupara left for work this morning. The Hastings Fire Brigade was unable to save the building, but prevented the fire spreading to a historic old meeting house a few feet away. The cause of the fire is not known.
