Her “Public Nightdress”
Mrs Harold Holt, wife of the Prime Minister of Australia, has what she calls a “wonderful public nightdress” for travelling. “It is a bright sort of muumuu, which is just the right thing to relax in,” she said on her return from a recent overseas tour.
Mrs Holt’s advice to women planning air travel is to have something comfortable, such as a muu-muu, in their overnight bags to put on between short stop-overs. She also advocates lightweight, comfortable shoes for feet swollen by air travel.
