SCOUTS AND GUIDES

Co-operation Favoured

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WINNIPEG, Oct. 15.

Boy scouts and girl guides should do more things together, Sir Charles Mac Lean, the Chief Scout of the British Commonwealth, says. “The day when you could keep boys and girls separated is gone,” he said in an interview. “And I don’t think it could be a particularly good thing to try to do it today.”

Sir Charles Maclean said there should be a closer liaison between the two organisations, which have always been close in thair ideals. He said there was no reason why some programmes could not be developed jointly to the benefit of both groups.
