(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) ADELAIDE. The New Zealand golfer, W. J. Godfrey, scored a record 65 for a total of 136 to lead by two strokes -from K. D. G. Nagle (New South Wales) in the West End tournament yesterday. R. Stanton (New South Wales) returned a 71 to lie in third place, a stroke further hack.
Baseball.—St Louis Cardinals won the baseball world series on Thursday, taking the deciding seventh game, 7-8, against Boston Red Sox.
