The average price for wool sold at last week’s Christchurch wool sale was 28.087 c per lb. This was almost 23 per cent lower than the price at the same sale last year. The return a bale was $88.15. For 19,030 bales containing 5,972,3611 b of wool proceeds amounted to $1,677,441.32.
