Abbot, commander of the United States Navy Antarctic support force, will spend three days in Wellington next week, during which he will call on the GovernorGeneral (Sir Bernard Fergusson), the Minister of Defence (Mr Thomson), the Minister of Science (Mr Taiboys), and other civil and military leaders. The Rev. John Latham, a son of Mr and Mrs T. F. Latham, of Little River, is chaplain at Trinity College, Cambridge, where Prince Charles recently went into residence. Mr Latham was educated at Wanganui Collegiate School, graduated from Canterbury University and Christchurch College, and then had more theological training at Westcott House, Cambridge.
