GIANT HANGAR HANDED OVER.—One of the biggest aircraft hangars in western Europe has been handed over to the Royal Air Force at Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. It will accommodate three VC10 jet transports and three Belfast turbo-jet freighters. The hangar, shown in this photograph, is 350 yards long and was built at a cost of £1,800,000. It is part of an Improvements programme to develop the station as the main base for Air Support Command. A VC10 jet transport is on the left next to a Belfast turbo-jet freighter.
