Orbiter Third
Orbiter paced a splendid race at Roosevelt Raceway last Friday when he finished third to Overcall and Murdock Hanover at the end of one mile in 2mln 1 l-ssec. He finished a head and half a length from the winner In the $15,000 race. Gemm's Pride was the only New Zealand-bred winner that night. Sir Hugh finished third. johnny Gold was a winner on the course a week earlier in 2min 4 4-ssec in a race of *3OOO, and Air New Zealand, Angelita, Caught Napping and Orbiter were placed. Other New Zealand-bred winners the previous week included Frontier Maid (2min 2 4-ssec). Jonboy Star (2min 3 4-ssec), Worthy Hanover (2min 2sec), Speedllght (2min 3 2-ssec), Wee Don <2mln 2 2-ssec). Cairnbrae <2min 5 4-Ssec-, Spring Garrison (2min 3 l-ssec), Vai Avert! (2min Ssec), Either Way (2mln 6 l-ssec), Lucky Song (2mln 6 3-ssec>. Loyal Briton <2min 9 3-ssec), Idle Man <2min 5 l-ssec>, Flreaway (2min 3 l-3sec) and Option (2mln 1 1-Ssec).
