Mr R. F. de Lautour, aged 44, senior administration officer of the Transport Department, has been appointed general manager of the Otago Harbour Board. He has been with the Transport Department since 1940, apart from five years in the Army, three of which were spent overseas. Before going to Dunedin in 1959 as district officer he was senior clerk in Christchurch. For the last two years he has been executive officer for the Transport Commission.
