Success For ILK. Women (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) ANCASTER (Ontario). Britain won the third women’s Commonwealth golf tournament when it beat Canada in the final match play singles to finish with three points. Australia won all four singles matches against New Zealand for a third-place finish. Canada was second with 1} points, Australia got one, and New Zealand a halfpoint.
The scoring was based on over-all results in each tie. and not on the results of individual matches.
Foursomes results:— Australia v. Nev Zealand M. Hickey and B. Coulson (Australia) beat G. Taylor and J. Little, 6 and 5; H. Booth and N. White (New Zealand) beat E. Dalgleish and D. Thomas (Australia), 3 and 2.
