GRAPEFRUIT DRIVE
(N.Z. • Press Association) AUCKLAND. Aug. 1. The Onehunga-Mangere Jaycees plan to send at least 200 eases of grapefruit to South Island hospitals, old folks’ homes, orphanages and Birthright homes this year. The Jaycees have organised these grapefruit drives for * number of years, and this year the event will be held on August 12. Last year, said Mr G. D. Larse, chairman of the branch’s Community Service Commission, the members got enough fruit to send 130 cases.
