Band Life Members
Mr A. Stent and Mr C. Kendrew were presented with lifemembership badges by the Mayor of Lyttelton, Mr J. B Collett, who is also a vicepresident, at the annual meeting of the Skellerup-Woolston Brass Band.
The Barbour Cup for the most improved player in the auxiliary band was presented by the band’s president. (Mr C. S. Hansen) to T. Beadle, and the Murray Cup for the the senior band was presented to G. Johannes. Officers elected were:— Patron, Mr P. J. Skellerup; patroness, Mrs L. J. Cropp; vicfrpatrons, Mr T. Carroll sen. and Dr. V. Griffiths; president, Mr C. S. Hansen; chair man, Mr A. M. Clemens; vice-chairman-secretary, Mr R. J. Harris; treasurer, Mr A. G. Lewis; drum-major, Mr T. Hawthorne-Smith; deputy bandmaster, Mr L. R. Grenfell; sergeant, Mr S. Creagh, corporal, Mr A. Stent; lancecorporal, Mr H. Olsen; honorary conductor, Mr T. J. KirkBurnnand. .
