New Prize List

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 3. Changes will be made in the prize list of the Golden Kiwi lottery to coincide with the introduction next week of decimal currency, the organiser, Mr N. McArthur, said today. Their total value would remain unchanged. Tickets would be 50c. The first, second, and fourth prizes would be unchanged, but the third prize would be reduced from £l5OO ($3000) to £1250 ($2500), and the fifth, sixth and seventh prizes would be reduced. The number of £5O ($100) prizes would be cut from 20 to 10. The sum saved would be used to increase the number of £5 ($10) prizes from 1830 to 2020. Two new consolation prizes of £5O ($100) each would be awarded to those one off the first prize. The changes would apply from Golden Kiwi lottery No. 301. Changes in the Mammoth prize list were being considered.
