CAPT. E. SUTHERLAND, of Christchurch, who has been appointed master of the New Zealand Company of Master Mariners. He is a former warden of the Christchurch branch, and for the last year has been deputy-master of the company. He succeeds Captain J. Forbes, of Auckland, as master. Captain Sutherland was at one time deputy harbourmaster at Lyttelton.
