Cats
Sir,—Quite a lot is said periodically about the dog nuisance. It is long past time that cats had more attention. Dogs have to be registered. So, also, should cats. People have too many and either overfeed or starve them. Many are “dumped,” especially at holiday time when people can not be bothered to make arrangements to have them cared for. They have to fend for themselves and then deplete the native birds. They also wreck gardens and bring discord to peaceful nights. Here is a lucrative form of revenue and it would also get rid of a lot of useless felines.— Yours, etc., CATASTROPHE. June 28, 1967.
