To Be Sold
The improvement of roads in South Westland over the last few years had caused the Anglican Diocese of Christchurch to decide to sell a cottage it maintained at Ross, said Mr J. C. Cottrell, the diocesan registrar. Bought in 1959, the cottage served as a place for the vicar of Harihari to stay in for a period when working in the area, and also as a base for youth work. However, with the improved reading in the area, it was no longer needed. Neither the present nor previous vicar had used it, Mr Cottrell said.
