The Government had no plans for increasing the 4d stamp rate for inland letters, the Post-master-General (Mr Scott) said in Parliament today.
Mr Scott said the 4d stamp would be replaced by a 3-cent stamp, allowing a saving of 0.4 d a letter, from July 10.
