MASON BROS. LEADS FALL IN MARKET
Mason Bros., which last week announced that profit for the latest year would be well down on the previous year’s, slipped Is lid to 14s to head the falls on easier New Zealand stock exchange markets yesterday.
Price variations were generally narrower. Ajax G. K. N., newly listed on Tuesday, sold 3d down at 7s in Christchurch after earlier trading at 6s lid, while North Auckland Farmers, sold 3d lower at 12s 3d in the first sale since the 5s shares were amalgamated into 10s units. Insurances were easier, with National Insurance and New Zealand Insurance each losing 3d. Breweries were down, with falls of Id each by Dominion Breweries and New Zealand Breweries.
