Two-year-olds For Australia
"The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND.
Mr Dane and Largo, which have been among the most consistent Takaninl two-year-olds, will do their future racing in Australia. The trainer, B. J. Wallace, said yesterday that he had arranged for Mr Dane to be trained in Melbourne by B. Shaw. Largo will join J. Green’s stable at Randwick in Sydney. Mr Dane probably will be shipped this week, and Largo will follow aa soon as transport is arranged. By coincidence, Mr Dane will be prepared by the trainer who did so well with Sir Dane. A bay colt, by Copenhagen II from Claire, Mr Dane is closely related to the good stayer, Classowa. In anticipation that he will run the longer distances well, be will be nominated for most of the big spring races in Victoria. From six starts, Mr Dane has had two seconds, three thirds and a fourth, and he ha* been unlucky more than once. Largo, a Ally by Martian II from Legato, has had six races for three wins and two seconds. She won by six lengths at Ellerslie and at Te Bapa and Paeroa by two and a half lengths
