STUDY OF BOEING
N.A.C. Party For Seattle
Twelve technical specialists from the engineering headquarters of the National Airways Corporation at Christchurch airport will leave New Zealand on June 9 to attend courses at the Boeing Aircraft Company’s works at Seattle.
They are Messrs R. L. Tucker (engine maintenance superintendent), A. Clements (planning superintendent), J. R. Boddy (airframe instructor), R. D. Langstrom (base maintenance supervisor), P. Moseley (line maintenance supervisor), R. A. Seeker (base maintenance planner), E. J. Boyce (instrument instructor), A. G. Isles (electrical supervisor), E. W. Borrie (electrical instructor), W. E. Parr (radio shop supervisor), N. J. Hughes (instrument shop supervisor), and M. J. Broadley (electrical engineer).
The course will begin on June 12 and will cover various aspects of maintenance of the Boeing 737.
Later in the month, Mr N. A. Kitto (planning superintendent), who will look into the provision of spares, and Mr E. R. McDonald, who will attend a conference on subjects connected with the maintenance of the airliner, will also go to Seattle. A second group of N.A.C. officials will go to Seattle probably next March or April. They will be licensed aircraft maintenance engineers who will certify the 737.
