Three-Car Accident

Eight persons, including six members of one family, were injured when three cars were involved in an accident on the Main North road 300 yards north of the butcher’s shop at Woodend about 7.25 p.m on

Saturday. The three vehicles were badly damaged. The accident occurred when two cars travelling in the same direction hit and a third vehicle from the opposite direction became involved.

Three persons were admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital. They ate Nancy Eileen Davis, who suffered head, arm and leg injuries, Loma Lynn Davis and Brent Ronald Davis, who suffered head injuries. They live at 276 Halswell road.

Colin Boyce Davis suffered head injuries, Douglas Ronald Davis, head and leg injuries, Kenneth lan Davis, shock, Michael Czik, of 19 North road, Kaiapoi, bead and leg Injuries, and Marjory Jane Manning, of 183 Geraldine street, head injuries. They were all treated at the Christchurch Hospital.
