TRADE MISSION SATISFIED

(Special CrspOt. N.Z.P.A.) HONOLULU, May 25. The New Zealand trade mission returned to Honolulu today on its way home more than satisfied with the business it had done. The leader, Mr J. N. C. Doig, said firm orders booked were more than 23 million dollars and firm inquiries and repeat business were likely to increase the total to 5 million dollars within 12 months. In addition the establish-

ment of new distributors meant continuing trade now that the importance of a follow-up was appreciated by all the mission’s members. Apart from straight selling the mission interested United States banking interests in New Zealand projects. A large motel group, which was put in touch with the mission by banks, has plans firmly under way to establish a motel chain throughout New Zealand, with some New Zealand capital. An important by-product of the mission was the decision of the Columbus Line to increase shipping between New i-Zealand and the United States.
